India Launches Its First LNG Train & ₹1,542Cr Rail Upgrades

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, flagged off India's premier liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered train from Sabarmati Station. Alongside this historic launch, infrastructure projects exceeding ₹1,542 crore were unveiled. The initiative successfully integrates a diesel-LNG dual-fuel system into 1,400-horsepower power cars, backed by rigorous 2,000+ km field trials to ensure safety and operational efficiency on the path to net-zero emissions.
